what to expect

Service times, directions, and what to expect at Life Church.

Sunday services at 8 am or 10am!

Life Church services are designed to help you encounter the presence of God in worship, and to grow in your relationship with God through His Word. Our goal is to help you take your next step towards Christ, no matter where you are at in your faith. If you are wanting more of the presence of God in your life, Church is a great place for you to be!

Worship with us each Sunday at 8 am and 10 am. Our 10 am service will be on Facebook Live for those that would like to worship at home. Click here to watch.

Our 8 am service is designed to be smaller in order to accommodate social distancing. This is a scaled backed service with no kid's ministry. Face masks are required at this service.

At our 10 am service there will be kid's ministry available for birth through 5th grade. Face masks are recommended but not required at this service. Come early to enjoy free coffee and donuts, offered between the two services.

We are located at 1013 East Bremer Avenue, Waverly, IA 50677.

Sunday Morning Q & A

Where do I park and enter the building?

Parking lots are located north, east, and across the street south of the facility. Entrances are located on the north side of the building and south side of the building into the Multipurpose Room. The church office entrance is located in the southeast corner of the building. If you enter here, take the stairs up and walk down the hall to the Multipurpose Room. The exterior entrance into the Kid’s Life area (for K–5th grade) is on the southwest side of the building.

What happens on a Sunday morning?

Sunday morning services typically include music, prayer, offering, announcements, and a message. Media elements such as video are used on a regular basis.

Will there be Communion?

Communion typically takes place on the first Sunday of each month. We believe those who take communion should be believers walking in fellowship with Jesus Christ for commemoration of His death on the cross.

What do I do when they take tithes and offering?

This is a time for anyone to give. Guests are not obligated to contribute and can just pass the bag along to the next person.

What do I wear?

Attendees can wear anything from jeans or shorts with a t-shirt ... to a dress or suit and tie.

What about my kids?

We believe kids are not just the church of tomorrow, but the church of today—and we think kids should have a blast at church every week! If you have children, check out our children's page for classes and activities for kids birth–5th grade. Middle school and high school students are welcome to join adults in the auditorium for the 10 am service. Check out what else we have to offer students on the youth page. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a check-in process for our Kid's Life program. The first time you visit you’ll want to leave yourself a few extra minutes to get signed in for the Kid's Life experience.
